These were already growing in the garden before I started. I kept them. I have tried to let perennial sweet peas grow amongst them but it didn't work. The sweet peas pulled down the globe thistles. This year I am inter planting them with ammi's.

This year I made some towers of hazelnut branches for the perennial sweet peas to climb up. That looked good.
